Grand Opening Guitar Giveaway

      It was late one night when the phone rang and the name Stay Tuned Studios (STS) appeared on the television via Satellite caller ID.
      It was a familiar name but a peculiar time, and for the guitar player of Sadly Mistaken he was used to the owners of STS calling his cell phone.
      Don Ringhofer and Joey Desena, the owners of STS, were calling Alan Walburn to let him know he was the winner of the brand new Ibanez RG series guitar donated by Guitar Center of Jacksonville.
      "I couldn't believe it!" Walburn said. "I still have the message."
      Walburn had registered for the Guitar at the STS grand opening on Saturday, August 25.
      The registration for the guitar giveaway had been open since the day of the grand opening through the month of September.
      Walburn's registration slip sat among approximately 100 others and was the lucky one drawn on September 29.
      "It's the nicest thing I've ever won," Walburn said. "I even won two prizes the day of the grand opening."
      Walburn laughed as he said, "I've got to start playing the lotto more often."
      He has been interested in music for as long as he can remember. He first got interested in music because his parents were both into music.
      Walburn was in the band Drag Ratchet for approximately ten years and has now been in the band Sadly Mistaken for approximately 12 years.
      He will first be seen playing the new Ibanez while performing with Sadly Mistaken at a Halloween party on Saturday, October 27. Anyone is welcome to the party, if you would like more information there are flyers at STS.
