forbidden broadway
one night only! winner of 57 tony awards!

On Friday evening, November 17th the UNF Fine Arts Center presents, Forbidden Broadway: Special VIictims Unit, New York’s longest running comedy revue and winner of 57 Tony awards including BEST MUSICAL.

The New York Post calls Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit, “Sassy, Brassy, Sexy, Outrageous and Clever” and “Gut - bustlingly funny” and the Miami Herald says, “Even if you’ve never been within 1000 miles of the Big Apple, you’ll LOVE Forbidden Broadway!”

This amusing and continually fresh parody of Broadway musical theater, that is directed by the legendary Gerard Alessandrini. The show pokes, prods, teases and pleases it’s victims- but always with love! Skewering “has been” and egotistical movie stars and replacing lyrics with scathing new ones are at the heart of this satirical revue performed by a superb cast of entertainers. Time Magazine raves, “Forbidden Broadway is one of the year’s TEN BEST!” See “special victims” that include the puppets of Avenue Q, the witches of Wicked, Billy Joel’s Movin’ Out, Les Miz, Little Shop of Horrors and Chicago performed with flamboyance and side splitting savagery that leaves the audience breathless with laughter!
