Celebrity Model and DJ Sky Nellor to Perform at the 2nd Biennial
JMOMA GALA

The Modern Art Council (MAC), a fundraising organization under the city’s premier non-profit art museum, Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art (JMOMA), proudly announces celebrity model and DJ Sky Nellor will perform at JMOMA during the 2006 Gala “Water in Motion” after party, “Aqua Lounge,” on Saturday, November 4 at 9:00 p.m.

The gala, to benefit JMOMA children’s art education programs and The Educational Endowment Fund, will feature water-themed evening of cocktails, dining, a raffle, and dance performances followed by its official after party “Aqua Lounge.” The design and preparation of the event’s cuisine comes courtesy of AAA Five Diamond award winning chef, Matthew Medure.

Guests are invited to attend the entire evening which begins at 6:00 p.m., or make way through the glowing water walls of the “Aqua Lounge,” for DJ Sky Nellor’s performance and dance party at 9:00 p.m.

“This will be an exciting evening of exquisite dining and fabulous entertainment,” said George Kinghorn, JMOMA director. “Even more exciting, is the amazing growth the event will provide for our institution’s educational programs which offer access to the visual arts for children and families throughout Jacksonville.

Australia born, DJ Sky Nellor has been coined as one of New York’s most in-demand, fashion-savvy and utterly captivating DJ’s. Her celebrity clientele ranges from Diddy, Outkast and Britney Spears to Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein and Vanity Fair. She currently spins retro 80’s classics, rock, hip-hop and Funk & Soul monthly at PURE in Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas, currently ranked the number one nightclub in America. “Aqua Lounge” includes a full open bar and an array of gourmet desserts.

“We are elated DJ Sky Nellor has agreed to come back to Jacksonville for our benefit,” said Lindley Tolbert, event co-chair. “After her performance at Jacksonville’s official Playboy Superbowl party, we knew she would attract a dynamic, hip crowd.”

MAC is a volunteer group of museum members whose purpose is to support the museum in the expansion of its resources by capturing the committed interest of our local and national audience. Since 2001 the group has created, organized and produced five major fundraising events.
